Renewable energies – we use wherever possible

The sun is shining, and the large photovoltaic system on the roof of our Coburg headquarters is naturally delighted. We rely on renewable energies. We already draw a large part of our energy requirements at both production sites from renewable sources. And we are constantly working to improve our carbon footprint. At our second location in Küps, we use a gas heat pump for heating and cooling, while in Coburg we plan to connect to the local district heating network this year.

Of course, both company buildings comply with the requirements of the current Energy Saving Ordinance. In addition, we monitor our energy consumption and evaluate it statistically. Our goal is to further reduce the energy requirement per manufactured transducer in the future.

Protecting the environment is important to us

Environmental protection in companies is crucial for a sustainable future. Companies in particular play a central role in the fight against climate change and can significantly reduce their ecological footprint through targeted measures. Energy efficiency, sustainable use of resources and the reduction of waste are particularly important in this regard. Conscious use of energy, for example through the use of renewable energies and the optimization of production processes, can significantly reduce CO₂ emissions. Companies should also focus on environmentally friendly materials and a circular economy in order to conserve resources and minimize waste.

Raising employee awareness of environmental issues is also crucial. Training and an environmentally friendly corporate culture promote the awareness and responsibility of each individual. In addition, companies can further improve their ecological footprint by working with sustainable suppliers and partners. Renewable energies and consistent environmental protection not only help companies to preserve nature, but also increase their competitiveness and reputation on the market in the long term.

Our actions for a green future

… to improve our CO2 balance:

  • Covering the majority of our energy requirements at both locations with photovoltaic systems
  • CO2-neutral heating at main site via local district heating network
  • Buildings comply with current energy-saving regulations
  • Monitoring and statistical evaluation of energy consumption

… in matters of waste:

  • Reducing waste wherever possible
  • Clearly defined and controlled waste paths
  • Trennung gefährlicher und ungefährlicher Abfälle
  • Disposal of waste via certified companies
  • Recycling of recyclable materials via specialist companies

… in the selection of raw materials:

  • Avoidance of conflict materials
  • Switch to non-hazardous, harmless substances (e.g. lead-free solder)
  • Development of new products in compliance with these requirements
