Matching material from in-house production

Matching material from in-house production

Bar material – production at full speed

There’s a lot going on at SECO: all departments are working flat out. Every day, our teams produce thousands of first-class ultrasonic transducers – with passion, precision, and high quality standards.

In addition to the dedication of our employees, this also requires high-quality raw materials. A particularly important component is our unique adaptation material, which we manufacture in-house according to a proven, proprietary recipe.

We use a lightweight, pressure-stable epoxy resin filled with hollow glass spheres that meets the highest quality standards. Compared to external products, our material exhibits minimal fluctuations—a real advantage for the consistent performance of our transducers.

Our “bar material team” uses this to produce thousands of matching material blanks in bar form. Later, these (geometrically matched and turned into shape) are the most important components of our SECO ultrasonic transducers.

Does your transducer require a functional coating?

For maximum functionality in demanding environments

To improve electromagnetic compatibility, we coat the matching material body of our ultrasonic transducers with a special metallization. In addition, the front surface of the transducer can be sealed with a scratch-resistant, dirt-repellent protective coating. This option is particularly valuable for measurement tasks in challenging applications, such as wind measurement on wind turbines or environmental monitoring. The combination of precise manufacturing and functional surface treatment ensures reliable performance even under extreme conditions.

How do we ensure the outstanding quality of our ultrasonic transducers?

Our Material

Our aim is to build high-quality, durable and robust ultrasonic transducers with outstanding electro-acoustic properties. We pay particular attention to the four main components: piezo disk, matching material, potting compound and stranded wire. We manufacture our own materials for this purpose or source them from reliable suppliers with the highest quality standards. In this way, we ensure that our customers receive only the best products – with every ultrasonic transducer that leaves our company.

Our employees

For us, our employees are more than just anonymous cogs in a wheel. Our corporate culture is characterized by flat hierarchies and open, respectful communication. Together, we manufacture ultrasonic transducers of outstanding quality. We focus on customer-oriented support, qualified employees, and machine-assisted manual work. Your satisfaction is our goal—and we work toward it every day.

Our strength is our flexibility

One of our strengths is our flexibility. By producing adjustment material, strands, and casting compound in-house, we are able to configure our transducers flexibly and comprehensively according to your customer requirements. We are happy to adapt each of our standard transducers to your individual requirements and environmental conditions with different housings, a wide variety of contacts, and optional additional equipment. Talk to us! Together, we will create the perfect transducer for your application.
