Our environmental management – sustainability & environmental protection
Ever since our company was founded in 1996, working in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner has been close to our hearts. We put this deeply rooted principle into practice internally through a certified environmental management system, and we also strive to inspire our customers and suppliers with this philosophy.
Focus & goals of our environmental management
Our environmental management is guided by the clear objective of actively minimising our environmental impact whilst making responsible use of resources. A key priority is to promote environmental awareness – both within our company and amongst our business partners.
Only by working together can we bring about a genuine change in mindset and embed environmental protection in our day-to-day practices.
Our aim is not merely to meet standards, but to exceed them – through an active and dynamic environmental management system that we are constantly refining.
Reduce material in a targeted manner
We are reducing our consumption of raw materials, consumables and supplies through stable manufacturing processes. By using cartons sized to meet actual requirements, and thereby reducing the need for cushioning material, we are cutting down on our use of packaging materials. In addition, where appropriate, we are switching to reusable returnable packaging.
Avoiding unnecessary business travel
Through the consistent use of digital communication tools, we hold discussions and meetings online wherever appropriate. Face-to-face appointments are only arranged if they offer clear added value.
Sustainable disposal
We consistently sort our waste and send it to qualified waste management companies to ensure it is recycled as much as possible or treated in an environmentally sound manner.
Using renewable energy
Where our energy requirements are not met by our own solar PV systems, we cover them using green electricity tariffs that are certified as sustainable.
Systematically avoid waste
We minimise waste through forward-planning and robust processes.
Certification of our environmental management
Our environmental protection management system has been certified to ISO 14001 : 2015 since March 2024.
