SC042: Compact 400 kHz ultrasonic transducer for modern anemometers
Our 400 kHz SC042 ultrasonic transducer closes the gap in the multi-use transducer segment. With its slim dimensions and high frequency, it will enable even more compact anemometers and sensor systems in the future. Despite its higher frequency, the SC042 offers a stronger signal intensity than our proven SC029 anemometer transducer – with a shorter decay time. This enables it to achieve higher measurement repetition rates and deliver better overall signal quality, especially in high wind speeds.
Like all anemometer transducers, we equip the SC042 with integrated heating on request and seal the front surface with a water- and dirt-repellent protective coating. To ensure maximum synchronization during temperature fluctuations, we sort and pair the ultrasonic transducers to identical frequencies. In addition, we offer a wide range of different design variants for our standard transducers – flexible and application-oriented.

Reliable wind measurement with SC029, SC031, and SC042
With our proven SC029, SC031, and SC042 anemometer transducers, you can reliably and accurately measure wind speed and wind direction. Regardless of environmental influences such as strong gusts of wind, water, fog, salt, or dust, our ultrasonic anemometers always deliver stable measurement results. The large opening angle of the transducers ensures a robust signal – even at wind speeds of up to 90 m/s (324 km/h).
For use in harsh environments, we coat the front of your ultrasonic transducer with a water- and dirt-repellent protective layer. For applications below freezing, we recommend installing an integrated heater directly in the ultrasonic transducer. This prevents freezing and snow accumulation and ensures reliable measurement even in cold and wet conditions.
