400 kHz transducer SC042 – for the anemometer of the future
Our 400 kHz ultrasonic transducer SC042 closes the previous gap at multi-use transducer. With its slim dimensions and high frequencies, it will enable even smaller anemometers or sensors in the future. Despite the higher frequencies, it has a higher signal strength than our anemometer veteran SC029, with a shorter decay time. As a result, it achieves higher measurement repetition rates and therefore better overall signal quality at high wind speeds.
Like all anemometer transducers, we can optionally equip the SC042 with an integrated heater and seal the front surface with a water- and dirt-repellent protective coating. For maximum synchronization in the event of temperature fluctuations, we are happy to sort and pair the ultrasonic transducers to the same frequency. We offer a wide range of different design options for our standard transducers.
Direct mounting in your individual customer housing?
We are also happy to mount our SC042 400 kHz ultrasonic transducer directly into your customer-specific housing with virtually no feedback. With our unique concept of using our own acoustic matching material and a globally unique potting mass, we adapt our transducers optimally to the individual requirements of your application. Our experienced ultrasonic professionals and precise series production guarantee that we will exceed your quality requirements.
Take advantage of your benefits! We look forward to your inquiry.
More information about our anemometric transducers
With our tried and tested SC029, SC031 and SC042 anemometry transducers, you can reliably and accurately determine wind speed and wind direction. Regardless of environmental influences such as strong gusts of wind, water, fog, salt or dust, our ultrasonic anemometers always provide you with precise measurement results. The large beam width of our anemometry transducers ensures a stable signal even at wind speeds of up to 90 m/s (324 km/h). For use in harsh environments, we coat the front of your transducer with a water and dirt-repellent protective layer. For applications with temperatures below freezing, we recommend installing an additional heater directly in your ultrasonic transducer. This prevents freezing and snowing and guarantees reliable measurement even in cold and wet environments.
As one of the leading manufacturers of ultrasonic transducers, we know the specific challenges and requirements of the wind energy sector. That is why we offer individual transducer solutions that are specially tailored to the needs and demanding environmental conditions around a wind turbine. Whether measuring in extreme weather or integrating into existing systems, our customized ultrasonic transducers are the solution for reliable and maintenance-free wind measurement.
