SECO Sensor offers innovative ultrasonic transducers for a wide range of measurement tasks – from installation in the smallest assemblies to applications with long ranges.
Our smallest ultrasonic transducer, the SC049, measures just 6 millimeters in diameter with an installation height of 5 millimeters. This makes it significantly smaller than a 1-cent coin and allows it to be easily integrated even into very compact measurement setups. In contrast, the SC008, with a diameter of 60 millimeters, offers the longest range in our portfolio – over 6 meters.

The right ultrasonic solution for every measuring task
Our range of ultrasonic transducers typically covers a frequency range between 80 and 500 kHz. The lower the frequency, the larger the diameter of our transducer. Our smallest ultrasonic transducer has a size of only 6 x 5 millimeters. This makes it ideal for measurement set-ups in which the installation situation requires the smallest possible dimensions.
SC049 vs. SC008 – Miniature meets long range
With the SC049 and SC008, SECO offers two ultrasonic transducers that could hardly be more different – yet perfectly cover the spectrum of modern measurement technology. Measuring just 6 × 5 millimeters, the SC049 is extremely compact and ideal for applications with limited installation space, short measuring distances, and high repetition rates. The SC008, on the other hand, impresses with a diameter of 60 millimeters and a range of over 6 meters – perfect for large detection areas and demanding industrial environments. Together, they demonstrate how versatile ultrasonic technology is today – from miniaturization to long-range measurement.

SECO recommends: We cast the SC049 into a flexible polyurethane molded part for particularly easy installation in small assemblies, for example in automation or robotics.
