Ultrasonic transducers for a wide range of industrial applications

Ultrasonic transducers for the sensor industry

Due to the increasing use of sensor technology in a wide range of industries, the sensor industry is experiencing a significant upswing. Whether in medical technology, wind power, agriculture or industrial automation, the aim is always to automate tasks using sensors, thereby saving time and increasing efficiency. As a developer and manufacturer of ultrasonic transducers, SECO Sensor is at the center of this trend – and develops (in addition to a broad portfolio of proven standard transducers) individual transducers for the sensor industry.

New challenges – and opportunities

The sensor industry is currently facing major challenges due to new requirements such as ever faster measurements and improved environmental resistance combined with smaller dimensions. The market demands a high level of innovation and flexibility from manufacturers. In addition, the environments in which sensors are used are demanding, for example due to cleaning processes in medical technology, high hygiene requirements in the food industry or use in chemically aggressive media.

As a company in the sensor industry, it’s good to have a partner at your side who can develop customized ultrasonic transducers and provide you with qualified technical support from the initial idea through to series production.

Specializing in ultrasonic solutions for the sensor industry

SECO Sensor has specialized in the development and customization of transducers for ultrasonic sensors for many years. Our ultrasonic transducers use ultrasonic waves (typically in the range between 80 and 500 kHz) to determine distances, measure flows or control web edges. Almost any industrial measurement task can be solved with ultrasound. Ultrasonic technology offers numerous advantages over conventional methods such as optical, inductive or capacitive measurements.

Quality and reliability

The quality of the ultrasonic transducers contributes significantly to the quality of the measurement results in the sensors. In addition to the use of high-quality materials and well thought-out electro-acoustic tuning, customer-specific adaptability is also a great advantage for complex measurement tasks and challenging environmental conditions. If an “off-the-shelf” model is not enough, we can flexibly adapt your transducer to your specific requirements using our extensive know-how and innovative additional equipment.

Do you have questions about our ultrasonic transducers?

Do you need support in selecting the right ultrasonic transducer? Do you need a customer-specific adaptation or an individual new development for an unusually complex measurement idea?

We will be happy to advise you and look forward to your inquiry.
