Why ultrasonic transducers from SECO Sensor?
High-quality materials
It starts with our tried-and-tested material concept consisting of specially developed and in-house produced acoustic matching materials, self-assembled strands and high-quality potting compounds according to our own recipes. These innovative materials enable fine, individual tuning of the electro-acoustic properties of the transducer and ensure optimum sound transmission.
Another key to the outstanding quality of our ultrasonic transducers is the use of premium PZT ceramics (piezoelectric materials) – preferably from regional suppliers. These advanced ceramics are crucial for the effectiveness of the ultrasonic transducers, as they have high quality and low fluctuations. This guarantees that sensors with our transducers work reliably and accurately even in the most demanding measurement environments.
The combination of material and experience
Our expertise is not limited to materials. We have decades of experience in the development and series production of ultrasonic transducers for air and gases. The know-how of our product managers and our production staff enables us to offer customized solutions for a wide range of applications. Whether you need ultrasonic transducers for distance measurement, double sheet control or wind measurement – we have the experience and the technology to support you with your individual measurement task.
Our customers know that the quality of the ultrasonic transducer is a decisive factor for the overall quality of their sensors. With ultrasonic transducers from SECO Sensor, you can be sure that your sensors will deliver reliable and accurate measurement results even under extreme environmental conditions or in challenging installation situations.
High-quality materials – for outstanding quality
Our aim is to build high-quality, durable and robust ultrasonic transducers with outstanding electro-acoustic properties. We pay particular attention to the four main components: piezo disk, matching material, potting compound and stranded wire. With many years of experience, we manufacture our own material for this or source it from reliable suppliers with the highest quality standards. In this way, we ensure that our customers receive only the best products – with every ultrasonic transducer that leaves our company.
Piezo disk
We source our piezoceramic transducers from selected suppliers with above-average quality standards, preferably from regional suppliers. These are characterized by a high degree of efficiency as well as minimal geometric and electrical tolerances.
Matching material
We produce our matching material in-house according to our own proven recipes. To achieve the best possible results, we use a particularly light, pressure-resistant epoxy filled with hollow glass beads, which is subject to only minimal fluctuations compared to products from external suppliers.
Potting compound
Potting with our specially formulated, soft-elastic polyurethane foams gives your transducer both mechanical stability and excellent structure-borne sound suppression – especially in cold conditions. We use customized potting compound recipes to achieve optimum acoustic parameters, adapted to your requirements.
Stranded wire
We mainly assemble our coaxial, Teflon and PVC strands ourselves. This enables us to ensure the highest quality and implement customer-specific adaptations quickly and easily. Short delivery times are also possible for special sizes. Our direct access to the production process allows us to carry out close checks and ensure consistently high strand quality, e.g. in accordance with IPC-A-610, class 3.

Pulsed transducers from SECO Sensor – fast, precise, repeatable
The pulsed transducers from SECO Sensor are the specialists for fast measurement applications at close range. With their extremely short decay time and high repetition rate, they are ideal for dynamic processes where fractions of a second are important. These include robotics, quality assurance and real-time applications in automation technology.
These transducers typically operate in the frequency range from 80 to 400 kHz and deliver precise measurement results at very short distances. Their robust design enables reliable operation – even under demanding industrial conditions. Pulsed transducers are particularly in demand where objects move quickly or where measurements need to be taken over particularly short distances.
Pulsed transducers from SECO Sensor impress with their outstanding “Made in Germany” quality, are series-proven and offer an ideal solution for applications where speed and precision go hand in hand.
