With a component size of only 6 x 5 millimeters, we present our smallest ultrasonic transducer – the SC049 multi use transducer. Its minimal outer diameter of only 6 millimeters makes it possible for the first time to combine an ultrasonic transducer with an M8 housing. This gives you a product that can find a place even in the smallest assemblies.
The SC049 typically operates in a range of 20 to 300 millimeters, closing the gap between capacitive sensors and the ultrasonic transducers in our range. Because of the minimal blind zone it is ideal for use over short measurement distances.
Due to its small component size and excellent tuning, the SC049 also excels with a very short settling and decay time. That enables high repetition rates. With its comparatively large aperture angle, it operates with a large detection range and functions reliably even in the presence of drifts.
Of course, the standard design can also be offered here with different contacting, a water-repellent front surface coating or with your customized housing.

Customisability?
As with all our products, we are also happy to adapt our smallest ultrasonic transducer SC049 to your customer-specific requirements. Do you have an idea for a measurement task but have not yet selected a specific transducer type? Do you have a predetermined customer housing? Or a complicated installation situation in which a standard product from our competitors does not fit? Of course we will be happy to install our ultrasonic transducer directly in your specified housing. Or offer you one of our numerous innovative installation options. Also we can modify the contacting or add practical additional equipment to your transducer on request. Furthermore the electro-acoustic properties of your ultrasonic transducer are customisable to your specifications within certain physical limits. For example, we vary the formulation of our polyurethane potting compound or the geometry of the fitting material body.
