Simply ingenious: The 300 kHz ultrasonic transducer with pins in a practical 5 mm pitch

Pins with 5 mm pitch on our SC029 multi-use transducer

One of our strengths is our flexibility. We are happy to customise our standard ultrasonic transducers with different housings, contacts and optional additional equipment to suit your individual measuring tasks. To facilitate the further processing of our products, we also offer our customers the contacting of our ultrasonic transducers with solder pins in 5 mm pitch.

Why pins with a 5 mm pitch?

Solder pins with a 5 mm pitch are essential components in electronics and electrical engineering. They ensure the secure and reliable connection of components on printed circuit boards. The 5 mm pitch is a widespread standard size that is used in many applications, especially in power electronics and power supply.

These solder pins serve as mechanical and electrical interfaces. They enable components such as relays, transformers or power semiconductors to be securely attached and contacted on the PCB. The 5 mm pitch offers an ideal balance between compact design and sufficient spacing to prevent short circuits and ensure electrical insulation.

Another advantage of the 5 mm pitch is the easy integration into various designs. Many PCB layouts and connectors are designed to this dimension as standard. This facilitates the development and production of electronic assemblies, as standardised components can be used.

Pins with a 5 mm pitch also offer high mechanical stability. This is particularly advantageous in environments with vibrations and mechanical loads. They therefore make a decisive contribution to the reliability and longevity of electronic devices, especially in industrial applications where robust connections are required.

Test the SC029.LP with pins!

For this purpose, we have modified our standard SC029 transducer with pins to create the SC029.LP assembly variant. As with all our products, the metal housing of the SC029.LP ensures high EM compatibility. The SECO-specific encapsulation allows the transducer to be installed with virtually no feedback and low structure-borne noise. Thanks to its relatively large beam width, the 300 kHz multi-use transducer SC029 is particularly suitable for anemometry.
