New production building in Küps

SECO Sensor has operated a manufacturing plaint in Küps in the district of Kronach since 2004.

In April 2013 we inaugurated our new production building in Küps. 1.4 million Euros were invested in the first building stage. The striking new building which has a modern design emphasising diffused light was developed by the Coburg architect Harald Eichhorn.

Special emphasis was placed on sustainability at the planning and implementation stage. About one third of the electricity required in the building is generated by means of photovoltaic cells in situ. Gas absorption heat pumps are employed for heating and cooling and relieve both the grid and reduce noise.

A shading concept keeps the summer heat outside and allows the winter sun to warm the interior in the cold months.

The manufacturing plant in Küps has a utilisable surface area of 900 m 2. 15 employees currently work here. The building also allows possible expansion and work stations for up to 30 employees.
